Wacken Open Air

Where: 25596 Wacken / Germany
When: 30.07. - 01.08.2015

At the Wacken Open Air the wheelchair platforms are also this year on the main ground directly at the front of the stages. The platforms are marked clearly by flags and offering a good view at the stages.

Parking and camping is directly on the festival grounds possible (usually only for visitors who arrive early), so that the paths are kept as short as possible. (also for German Red Cross)

A campsite for visitors with disabilities is located so that the paths are kept very short onto the grounds. In addition, is located at the campsite a wheelchair repair service. You can reach this when you go down from the metal market, then across the road and keep left towards the camping ground.

There are wheelchair accessible toilets, flushed toilets and showers.

At he German Red Cross tent Diabetics can store their medications, and they can give infusions etc., also are several hundred helpers will be there in action. The paved roads can be used upon presentation of disability card, but it comes with some you will get some trouble with the security, if they don´t know the rules.

As a highlight, there are autograph sessions with some bands, all information can be found on the WOA website, as well as locally. Furthermore attractions such as the Wackinger village, the Thrash Field and various other events are offered.
