Review Shitfucker - Midnight Split 2015

Shitfucker - Midnight Split (04.09.2015)

Oh my God, Shitfucker are back! This was the first reaction of the New Metal Media editorial team on the announcement of the new split CD with Midnight. For the conditions around the band from Michigan, is the break that they had between the last release and this release to call almost long. Because since the combo founded in 2005, they produces for Hells Headbangers Records continuously, sometimes there are EP, sometimes singles and then again an album like 2013, "Suck Cocks in Hell". The title, as well as the bandpictures reveal a lot of the band and as rumored, that the influence of mind-altering drugs such as Acid and marijuana is not entirely innocent of the creative energy of the "artists". The trio from the United States, specifies their music style with Thrash, Death and Black Metal , you will get a hard side of music and so they have brought even amplifying Midnight an equally creative Black Metal solo project for this split single. I wonder at this point if this can work....

The A-side belongs to Midnight and he sets the bar very high, so friends of the very hard category of thrash and death metal will be glad here and will certainly fall into enthusiastic when Athenar roars in micro. The song is very very quickly and it always come back memories of the 70s Punk Rock music and the early Thrash Metal, because something like that sound the recordings. It rumbles and thumps and I thinking the main focus was probably on the speed and not on the production, but well you can hear it. Purists might feel like in heaven here. Already we reach the B side, that's the good thing about a vinyl single, only turn it and you reach after 2 songs the end. But we take a look at Song number two and here comes Shitfucker. Nightmare (pt.2) at this point I have something like respect, you never know with what Shitfucker or as they are called in another project Acidwitch (Well 2/3 of Shitfucker) bless their audience. But when they played the first sounds I'm almost disappointed because it is vocally and also from the sound of the music thrash metal and a little bit heavy metal, but not really shocking as announced. Readers who know the old Sodom, Venom or Darkthorne, will not really need to change.

Conclusion:
Music is a matter of taste, but please decide at your own, if you have listened to this vinyl single. Friends with very extreme tastes, as well as purists will probably have their pleasure with it, but I´m at the end of this single and will send it back to hell immediately.
